Hunter Aged Care Achievement Awards 2013

The Hunter Aged Care Achievement Awards (HACAA) aim to recognise staff and volunteers who are outstanding in their commitment to upholding standards of excellence in care of the older person. The HACAA were initially launched in 2010 with the first Awards Presentation Dinner held in September that year.

The Awards continue to grow each year with the 2012 Awards attracting over 110 nominations from 31 aged care providers in the Hunter area.  The HACAA are now recognised as the Awards for the Aged Care Industry in the Hunter Region.

Each year the Awards nominations are judged by a panel of of independent industry professionals who are chosen for their experience and involvement in the care of the older person. The 2012 Awards presentation dinner was held on the 5th September 2012 at Noah’s on The Beach with 160 finalists, aged care providers and their guests attending this prestigious event.

Finalists were presented with certificates and the winners of the 7 Awards categories were announced and presented with an Awards trophy and a cheque presented by John Watkins CEO of Alzheimer’s Australia.

The 2013 Awards have a new look with changes to the Awards categories, including a new category – Aged Care Innovative Project of the Year Award.  The Awards will be open for nomination on the 27th of May 2013.
